Unfortunately I am not able to attend the Tokyo Game Show this year, namely due to educational prospects that require me to remain where I am for the current time…. and it is really ticking me off as they have been announcing titles I would have loved to get first hand knowledge of, but I digress. One of the more interesting bits of information comes from the gaming website Siliconera, who have just had a demo playthrough of Kingdom Hearts 3D (Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance). Whilst I encourage you to read their article on the game, there was one thing that stood out to me… the fact that they will be including cross overs from the game The World Ends With You (Subarashiki Kono Sekai).
The World Ends with You is a Nintendo DS game developed by the same team at Square Enix that is responsible for the release of Kingdom Hearts in 2007. Whilst they have cross overs in terms of Final Fantasy characters and the like, this is the first time they will be including characters from this series. Currently there is only Neku as a confirmed character – however it makes reference to the Reapers Game and could cover other characters from the series, some of which are included in the artwork above.
