Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk.2 – Summon The All Powerful Game Developers

If you ever want to see a Japanese game previewed (In Japanese) before the English release date but do not want the same 10 minute video previews over and over again, then I would highly recommend MasterLL‘s youtube channel for all your playthrough needs. Of course I do not recommend spoiling the storyline by watching every one of his playthrough videos – but you do find interesting bits of information to keep you excited for the game once in a while. This above video is one of those gems.

For those who have not played the first game, Hyperdimension Neptunia is a Compile Heart project that takes almost everything in gaming – gives it a human personification and you battle against the evil R4….. uh… Arfoire. References included everything from Pokemon to Dead Rising and the main characters – not only game companies, but the four main “goddesses” are based off the three main consoles (PS3, XBox360 and Wii) alongside the SEGA Neptune which was never released.

Now I bring your attention back to the original video clip. In the original game they never included realistic personifications of game developers or company CEO’s, instead choosing to make Bill Gates, Shigeru Miyamoto and two others for SEGA and Sony who I cannot remember – legendary heroes that saved the world prior. This time however, they have chosen to add game developers as usable skills, such as this example of Keiji Inafune from Capcom, delivering two very devastating attacks, the Creators Sword and Donnahanda Nova.

Whilst there has been no word on an official English release of the game – a recent interview done by gaming website Siliconera hints that there is a strong chance of it coming out over here.
