Blue Exorcist is a series that has very recently seemed to grow in popularity, with both a Manga Series that is being translated into English by Viz Media (Distributed by Madman Entertainment in Australia) and an anime series which is being simulcast and apparently already has a release date for North America as well. However, did you know there was also a PSP title for this series being released in Japan at a later date? Featuring an RPG-esque battle system and an adventure gameplay system, it will hopefully provide fans another means to delve into the series even further. Here is a description of the series as taken from the first volume of the manga:
Raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura never knew his real father. One day a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth – the blood of Demon Lord Satan runs in Rin’s veins! Rin swears to defeat Satan, but doing that means entering the mysterious True Cross Academy and becoming an exorcist himself. Can Rin fight demons and keep his infernal bloodline a secret? It won’t be easy, especially when drawing his Father’s sword releases the demonic power within him.
