Trailer for Spice and Wolf II
This series might not be that big an unknown to readers of this website or fans of anime. Spice and Wolf, also what a friend of mine casually refers to as “Economics: The Anime” follows Lawrence, a merchant who travels the towns selling and trading his wares in order to make a healthy living and one day own his own shop. Coming across the harvest goddess Holo, a girl who is teenage in appearance and boasts a set of fox ears and a tail. This might sound like a pretty run of the mill anime series – but it proves an enjoyable watch, even to those who might not particularly like most anime.

In January this year, Madman Entertainment released the series to Australian audiences, after Funimation release the series in late-2010 to North American anime fans. I did a review of the first season HERE and having recieved a B+ grade, I thought it was a more then enjoyable series and well deserving of the second season to be English dubbed. You could consider September to be the month of Spice and Wolf, with not only a Blu-ray collection of the first season being released, but also Blu-ray and DVD collections of Spice and Wolf II due out.
Now, most of Madman Entertainment’s Blu-ray discs are near identical to the Funimation ones, therefore the following bonus extras will be available on the Blu-ray version of the series at least (Possibly DVD – I am not too sure):
- A Studying with Holo video… A look into the world of Spice and Wolf with Holo.
- Stretching with Holo video… If you have ever heard of Training With Hinako… you will know what this is…. Holo doing aerobic movements that may or may not be possible for the normal human body to do.
- Textless Opening and Closing – They are both apparently really good themes.
- Trailers – DUH!
