Back in the day before there was Team Nintendo, Playstation and XBox – there was another war going on…. between two gaming franchises…. the fast paced platforming game which had you collecting rings SONIC THE HEDGEHOG and the more slower paced platforming game that required you to collect coins and zoom through pipes MARIO! Whilst that era came to a close, this doesn’t mean that the two cannot duel it out right?
Back in 2008, SEGA released Mario and Sonic at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and while I never wrote a review for the game, I owned it and got my moneys worth out of gameplay. It was most probably one of the most satisfying sports games to come out on any console that allows interaction through movement. But as this game seemed to be so successful, they have come back for a second shot – with both Mario and Sonic characters out to stake their claim of the Gold Medal!
This trailer doesn’t showcase any of the ingame footage unfortunately, however it does show off some of the new sports available – such as more gymnastic stages and Equestrian sports.
