Are you a fan of the Last Exile series? Would you like to see Last Exile Fam a month before it hits Japanese television? Attending Manifest? If you answered yes to most if not all of these questions then you are in luck. In a press release from Madman made less than an hour ago, they have announced they will be doing two showings of the first episode of Last Exile Fam at the Manifest Anime Convention. On the 26th of August – the Friday and first day of the event, they will be doing their first screening, followed by an encore screening on the 27th of August.
Tim Anderson, Managing Director of Madman Entertainment has stated “Madman Entertainment are extremely proud to be working with Gonzo and Manifest to be bringing Australian fans such a rare opportunity to see a brand new anime show, especially of such a high calibre, before it even airs in Japan.”. Whilst I am not able to attend the event which is in Melbourne -I hope all my readers who are in attendence take the time to attend this showing! After all, this is a continuation that has we have been waiting for the last eight or so years to see. The following is a brief blurb of the series taken from the press release:
In LASTEXILE – Fam, The Silver Wing – the descendents of the planet’s evacuees have returned to a rejuvenatedenvironment, now free from the pollution that drove them out so long ago. However, they now face a constant and ever increasing conflict with the planet’s neglected inhabitants. On the eve of signing a historical peace treaty with Luscinia of the Ades Federation, princesses Millia and Lily of the Turan Kingdom are lured into a trap and attacked by Luscinia, ruthlessly provoking war. Left for dead, the princesses are intercepted by The Vespa, a ‘Vanship’ piloted by our titular heroine, Fam – a member of the Sky Pirates.
