A couple of you have sent me e-mails regarding the North American release of White Knight Chronicles 2, so I would like to take a moment to discuss the release. PAL regions including the UK and Australia have already had the game on shelves last month as it was released by SCEE, however another publisher, D3 Publisher this September. The game will be identical to the version released in PAL Regions.
Save data from a PAL White Knight Chronciles version will not be usable on a North American version of White Knight Chronicles II, and it is the same for NA save data which will not be playable on a PAL version of the game (So no importing in that regard), however the game is not region locked, and you get exactly the same gameplay experience either way and can play the online mode with players from both PAL and North American regions. The D3 edition also includes WKC1 which has been fully remastered and you can choose to import or start a new character in the new storyline without having played WKC1. Also, news from Siliconera states that the extra quests that were downloadable content in Japan, will be available on the disc.
