Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kira Episode 2 – To Be Another Fanservice Episode?

From my previous posts on the series, you may have noticed that I was pretty much dreading what they were going to do with Higurashi Kira. The first one was just as the previous trailers indicated – a fanservice fest that put all the female (and some of the male) characters in at least one fanservicey scene. Alongside this episode was a preview of Higurashi Kira File.02…..

Well, I willl let you make up your minds from watching the above trailer, but as you can tell, there will be no mystery or murder plot, but instead a story that will no doubt result in fanservice. *Sigh* considering the number of arcs they havent animated, this is slightly depressing to me….

From the original visual novel series – Yes
From the other storylines from the PS2, DS versions…. Nope… and there are a few good ones in them.

They animated all the arcs from the original visual novel series… but not all the arcs from the PS2/DS versions of the game which were apparently really good.

they totally went away from the seriousness of the original, kinda annoys me but then again its higurashi

I suppose in the end, there is nothing much we can do… just hope in the end they will do something similar to the original series.

Well,all the previous seasons were really depressing and pessimistic. Why can’t the creators make a happier and more optimistic season for once?

Simply because of what you said, to me and I am sure others, the series is all about the depressing and pessimistic storylines… Seeing them devote what could most probably be the last few episodes to a high level of fanservice really doesn’t feel like it is giving the series justice.

Just my opinion of course.

yeah. i partly agree. i was expecting this to but i’m kinda happy about it. i mean fanservice is always great and usually attracts some viewers. but cmon. u gotta b happy that theyre still making new stuff for higurashi simply because its a great series. i do however agrer that they should animate all of the manga’s arcs before worrying about fanservice

I would rather die, die again, go to hell, beat myself with a baseball bat, end up in hell’s hell, pin myself to a cross and gauge my own insides out, than go through another Rei catastrophe.

Haha! What’s your problem with that? Haven’t you read the plot since Rei came out?

Rika is living her life freely now, so why would you want to have blood flowing back again? What do you want, torture her? And if you remember the 4th episode of Rei, Rika said that she wouldn’t repeat her life once she was killed again. So… That’s why they are making these kind of episodes.

Just my opinion though/

Dude. Do you know how many visual novels Higurahi has? And do you know how many of them have been published? There are at least 4 more arcs that could make one whole season. And they decide to go with fan service? I mean, who does that?
