Old Anime Trailer – Best Mockery of Censorship?

This morning I received an order of anime that I placed last month, and as I seem to be doing a lot more recently, looking at the trailers section of the DVD’s looking for interesting series. I acquired the DVD of the series Cosplay Complex, an old anime series released by ADV Films and it had a trailer of the series Puni Puni Poemy. The trailer is above, but isn’t it refreshing to see a trailer / series focusing on mocking censorship instead of nowadays where censorship, especially of games (and to a much lesser degree, anime) is serious business to keep the minds of todays youth completely innocent and to not offend others.

Also, just incase anyone actually thinks this series is a hentai, it was released in Australia with an MA15+ rating, however it was originally released with an R18+ rating to apparently get the title out on shelves earlier. In New Zealand however, it is rated R and I believe is banned from the country. The series is rather stale and boring, however the audio commentary provided on the DVD provided me with the most laughs compared to any anime commentary. I might write up a review for this series sometime.
