ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection (PS3) – Slated for September Release

SOCICO ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection (PS3) Slated for September Release

Collectors of rare games will no doubt recognize this series. Originating on the PS2, the games ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are known for two very different reasons. The first, is that they have brilliant design and gameplay…. the second is that at least over here in Australia, they would be the two hardest games to find at all, with I doubt any store around having copies.

Last year it was announced that there would be a HD Remake of both games in a single collection, on the PS3 of course. It was initially slated for a release in April, however as the date came around, the date was mysteriously changed almost everywhere to the 31st of December 2011, also known as…. “We don’t know what the hell happened to it!”

Well thankfully, it was announced at E3 and been confirmed on the US Playstation Blog, that the release date will be the 27th September 2011 and its recommended retail price will be $US 39.99. Therefore, if you are like me and desire to play this game more then any other title, then be prepared for the day where you waiting has paid off and you can enjoy what is evidently the epicness of both ICO and Shadow of Colossus.
