Part 2 of my Christmas Catch-up finishes the pile left in my inbox from NISA. Asagi Wars is second “bonus” game within the Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, dood!. This game follows the infamous Nippon Ichi character Asagi, who has been most Disgaea games since Makai Kingdom. This time, she stars in her own game (Not a main game however, so it still keeps with the pattern) and her mission is to hunt down other Asagi’s and do what she does best….. aim to become the main character as humerously as possible.
For those who do not know, Asagi is now a Prinny, having accidentally killed herself in Prinny 1: Can I really be the Hero? by stupidly dressing up in a Prinny costume that was triggered to explode. However, this time around, she has a large supply of guns in her arsenal, and this allows the gameplay mechanics of Prinny 2 to be, from visual inspection, different enough from the main game to warrant it being played.
NISA kindly shared a number of assets to go with Asagi Wars, which can be found after the jump.
Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties dood!
Back to the original storyline, there has been an additional three video clips that preview some of the levels and dialogue within the game.
Video #1 – Battle Haldi
Video #2 – Flonne Conversation
Video #3 – Nethervalley (1st Stage) – What you shouldn’t do!
As you are most probably aware, Disgaea 4 is narrowing closer to its Japanese release date, and there Nippon Ichi Software has released a second trailer showing a greater number of new features including its online functionality, skill animations and many of the other gameplay functionalities both old and new. So, enjoy watching the trailer, I must admit, I do like the narrator for this trailer.
So I believe it is time for all the prinnies to work extra hard in ensuring that this game is absolutely perfect! Unfortunately the American Prinny Team currently has no news on anything relating to this title hitting english shores besides the announcement a few months ago in which they said they would be releasing it in English, so hopefully once the game is released, we can start hearing some good news about this game being in our gaming consoles.
That is it from me for now, enjoy!
