The episode starts from where the last episode ends, in the room of Eva and Hideyoshi with their corpses still sprawled out on the bed and in the shower. Everyone else enters the room to find the sight when George screams knowing that not only has his new wife been brutally murdered but both his mother and father were found dead. After his little cry, they all leave the room and they lock the door, to preserve evidence for the police. This is the perfect closed room scenario as Battler cannot figure out how the murder happpened. Of course Maria is happy as it supports the existance of Beatrice.

Later on, Kanon and Kumasawa decide to check out the Boiler Room due to a few odd smell coming from the room. Kumasawa ends up falling down the stairs whilst Kanon leaves her and enters the boiler room. A golden butterfly appears in front of him and states that because Shannon was the one that died, he will decide to become the null space in her Roulette and take it down. Of course, in the end, a loud clanging sound surrounds him, a glimpse of the portrait and he falls down with a stake piercing him. Everyone soon arrives in the room to find the corpse of Kanon on the ground, which Jessica reacts badly too. Battler notices a door open at the other side of the room which he runs through only to find himself outside the mansion.

Back in the boiler room, they find the corpse of Kinzo which has been severly burned in the boiler. They noticed this because of his extra toe on each foot, which is a trait that Kinzo was well known for. They return to the parlor while Dr Nanjo and Jessica remain with Kanon. When she returns, they decide to go to the one place where Maria believes Beatrice cannot hurt them, Kinzo’s study due to the scorpion symbol on the door. They all barricade themselves in with some food, including a tin of canned mackrel.

They all then discuss the mystery behind this Beatrice and Kinzo when suddenly Maria states that there is a letter under that can of mackrel. Natsuhi, since it is impossible for someone to enter the room, suddenly pointed her gun at Nanjo, Genji, Kumasawa and Maria, all who could have put the letter there. She forces Battler to read the letter which states:

Are you enjoying the riddle of Kinzo’s epitath?
You are probably already aware of this but all of you do not have much time left.
Please abandon the naive thought that when the storm passes you will be able to run away.
In this game, the only possible outcome is either you all or me win.
If you run out of time, I will win.
There will be no draw.
Please do not misunderstand that.

In the end, all of them decline putting the letter there and are therefore forced out of the room, with Battler giving Maria his scorpion charm for protection.

As they all talk in the study, they all decide to research the mysterious symbol drawn on another sheet of paper. It was a symbol that is responsible for separating the groups, which meant that they sent the four of them out to their death. Suddently, the broken phone system started working again. When they answer, all they hear is a creepy singing voice. They realize the four of them are definately in danger and they all run out of the room after them.

As the episode ends, Battler opens the door to find the corpses of Kumasawa, Genji and Nanjo sprawled out around the room whilst Maria is standing in the corner, facing the wall unharmed, singing the song.
