Looks promising this season. The Anime OP is titled One-Winged Bird which is sung by Shikata Akiko and has the same tone as the games opening Umineko no Naku Koro ni. I would consider these two on par with each other and I look forward to getting my hands on the album which is released sometime in August. Just finished playing the 4th episode of the game and it has made me want to watch this series even more and see if it helps crack the mystery or if it leaves me just as conflicted as the game did. AnimeNewsNetwork states that this series will be going for 13 episodes, however my guess is that it will go much longer into the 24-26 episodes that Higurashi did in its first season, quite possibly with an anime exclusive arc or two, as I cannot see them compressing 4 games into 13 episodes, that is something like 3.25 episodes per arc. Whatever the case, the images above show them pretty decent artistic skills but I wonder how the animation plays out, as that is one thing that none have seen. Umineko no Naku Koro ni is released on the 2nd July.
Sorry about the apparant lack of updates this month. Lets just say I can currently not play many games on my computer due to some random crashing bug that affects Granado Espada, Dragonica and The Sims 3. Dunno why but I am trying to get to the bottom of the problem so I can get motivation to do game reviews, and with that, other reviews such as manga. I currently have about 3-4 things in my draft post pile including a summary of the next season of anime and a few reviews… something to look forward to.
