Opening Theme: PSI-missing by Mami Kawada – For the style of anime this is, I was not really expecting an opening theme this good, however it was a really nice surprise to see it how it turned out. From everything I have watched so far this season, this is definately the best opening sequence. First of all, I loved the suspenseful tune of the music, wasn’t classical, wasn’t happy just suspenseful. (Cannot really describe it in any other way) The animation was also very good!
Ending Theme: Rimless~フチナシノセカイ by IKU – In comparison to the opening theme, this one disappointed me a bit. That is all I have to say about it.
Review: I really wasn’t sure what to think about this show. First off, I had no idea what to expect from it, as I had never heard of the series before and had not much information on it. Despite this, I took a leap and watched it. I was rather impressed overall with the storyline, with it able to display both light comedy and some very well done fighting scenes, especially around the end. (Being in the top five for earliest sights of blood – at least for me… I think). The graphics of this episode are hard to put into words… spectacular? stunning? To keep it simple, the graphics were very good in this episode!
Music was a bit lacking, mostly using the sound of higurashi (or whatever) in the background, despite this however, the music that was used was of a very good standard. Sound effects and voice acting were also good and plentiful.
Storyline looks promising and may be able to keep my interest for however long it goes for, but will need to try and keep at the very least, the standard it has now. Characters are all interesting especially the unfortunate-ness of Touma, which whilst common in animes to have an “unfortunate guy” scenario, it is not common that the male ends up destroying all his posessions. Index also looks like an interesting character, with a rather funny moment, with her biting Touma’s hand instead of the “old” food.
Since it is late, that is all I shall review here tonight.
