Episode 1: Sekirei
After the currently unexplained opening sequence, we meet the main character, Minato Sahashi who has just realized that he failed his university entrance exams. (When I saw this, I thought this series would be a rip off Love Hina) While walking back home, talking to his mother on a mobile phone, he is landed on by a girl named Musubi who is being attacked by two black-haired women. Musubi grabs him by the arm and carries him off. The next morning, he wakes up to find her next to him. After some more storyline about themselves, they finally run into the same two women. Minato and Musubi kiss which forms a contact between human and sekirei. This means that he has become her Ashikabi. She grows wings on her back which scare the other two women away.
The rest of the episode is dedicated to other things such as Minato trying to secure female clothes from his sister and the introduction of a man with white hair and glasses who Musubi names Hakase, who describes what Minato has just been signed up to do, as well as delivering a box containing Musubi’s outfit. In the end, both of them kicked out of the apartment. The credits is replaced with Musubi flying Minato around the city, much to his horror.
Episode 2: Door to a New House
A woman is seen drinking sake while watching the two of them fly, eventually crashing into her property. Minato for a brief moment noticed a young girl trying to reach them in the trees however is confused when she does not appear again. The woman, who is named Miya Asami, from before goes to greet them and unlike most people who would be angry at someone falling out of their tree, she welcomes them in and treats their injuries as well as providing other necessities such as clothes they required. They are invited to dinner and meet the other residents such as Kagari and Uzume. When they find out that the building is actually an inn, they are welcomed in as residents as well.
After an angry phone-call from his mother and running into his sister who unlike him, got into university, Musubi collects all of his belongings in a bag (Resembling one of those thief style bags if I remember rightly), where he finally learns the strength potential of her. Once she carried the large bag back to the appartment, it is shown that they are being stalked by someone who bugged their room, and is laughing about it.
While Musubi and Uzume are sharing a bath, Minato goes out to investigate if the girl he saw was real or not, his suspicions are confirmed when he gets a vision of her calling out for help. Back in the bath, it is discovered that Uzume is a sekirei as well as Musubi starts to fight with the unwilling Uzume. It is eventually put to a stop by Miya. That night, Minato once again has a vision of the girl calling for his help.
Episode 3 – The Green Girl
The young girl from the previous episode is named Kusano and we see some of her past, where she is with Minato’s mother Takami, where she mentions Ashikabi. They are attacked by another sekirei supposedly named Yomi. Kusano manages to hide herself away by summoing trees around her as a barrier, however what happened to Takami, it is not known.
(I will finish the rest in the morning, going to fall asleep if I do anymore of this at the moment. Images speak for themselves at the moment – Might also have to redo some of the stuff above. Don’t consider this a final summary just yet.)
