Opening Theme: Cosmic Love by Mizuki Nana -From what others have said, this is the Opening theme for the series so I am presuming they just switched around the animations or it is a completely new one. Anyway, I quite liked this song, while it wouldn’t end up being a favourite of mine, it was definitely better then most I have seen so far this season.

Summary: A young teenager named Aono Tsukune is made to go to a school named Youkai Academy after his parents pick up a slip which was dropped by a man in a white robe. Of course, he has no idea about this until his parents say he was admitted. He is escorted to the school grounds by a creepy looking driver who takes him through the tunnel and then ditches him on the outskirts of the school. Tsukune then proceeds to head towards the school building and after getting lost, runs into a girl riding a bicycle which turns into a pink haired vampire named Akashiya Moka. She bites him on the neck and then worries about him.

In the end, Tsukune ends up in his classroom where his teacher is a neko who explains that the school is not an ordinary school, but a school for demons, spirits etc under the name of Yokai. To protect themselves, they disguise themselves as humans. She also explains that no humans will be able to survive where they live. Just in time, Moka enters and then jumps on Tsukune. This causes much unease with the other students as Tsukune and Moka spend time together. One of the meaner students in the class, Komiya starts interrogating the two in a violent way, which proceeds Moka to panic for Tsukune’s safety.  They manage to get on to the roof where Moka tells him more about her abilities and the Rosario around her neck which suppresses her power. She also appologizes for biting him in the neck and explains her problems with humans. In the end, Tsukune runs off scared for his safety while Moka begs him to stay where he admits he is infact a human.

They end up running to the same boy from before where he reveals his special ability to turn into some sort of monster. After much fighting and Tsukune coming to save Moka, he accidently pulls off her Rosario before fainting which causes her to change form into a full vampire. This allows them to win the battle. The episode ends with Tsukune not leaving the school and once again, receiving a bite on the neck.

Review: I am finally back with my blogging after half a month of being inactive althrough since it is my holidays, I have tried to make the most of it. Anyway, not a bad episode and definately better than most of what I have seen this season. The graphics seem to me just a little bit outdated but they do work effectively and it does have all the different types of monsters in it. Will I be blogging this series? Most probably, while nothing has stood out greatly in this season, this is high up in my preference list so unless another two or so episodes come along, I will be sticking with this.
