Summary: This episode begins with Takano and her gang of merry murderers who are now thinking of new ways to trap the children after their failed attempt last time. Takano is once again spending time with her beloved Jiro and still trying to leech information off him. After another unsuccessful attempt, she leaves him locked in the room. In the end, the Yamainu manage to locate Rika and the rest of the group. Okonagi briefs her on what they discovered and they leave quickly once they assemble all their troupes. (Still think it is weird a group of grown adults can be beaten by children as young as elementary school age). Takano remains in her van ordering the different teams around while the rest of the members look for them. All the while, Rika, Mion and Hanyuu are watching them from a hill nearby watching them all with glee.
Satoko shines in the next scene with the Yamainu looking for them in the forest but falling into such traps as:
- Falling for a disguised pitfall trap which are hidden by an obvious looking one
- Being swung upside down in the air
- Being chased down a hill by logs.
All the while, Okonagi is near the van very annoyed with his troupes. The scene goes to Kasai, Irie, Akasaka and Shion. They are in the Irie clinic where Irie is taking Shion to meet Satoshi. Kasai and Akasaka are disguised as Yamainu members and pretend to be taking in the other two. In the end, the two of them end up fighting the other members while Irie takes Shion to Satoshi. After going behind a secret wall, she sees Satoshi in a solitary ward on alot of life support machines and he tells her that he is in a very critical state while Shion is traumatized. They leave to find the other two, having completely destroyed the headquarters.
In the forest, Okonagi is trying to get a hold of the other members but a scary voice, kindly donated by Hanyuu starts threatening them with Keiichi acting as a Yamainu member who was just killed. This scares the crap out of the group as they believe Oyashiro is behind it all. While they cheer, the Yamainu retreat while Takano tells them that Oyashiro is not real. All the adults + Shion are in a van and the Yamainu block the road off while from a distance, another member holding a gun aims it at the car and shoots. The episode ends here.
Review: Oh my goodness, one more episode to go and I am shocked the last 6 months of watching this series has gone so fast. I remember my first comments of this anime being that I had no idea what was going on and I wasn’t going to continue and now all I can say “Curiosity killed helped the cat”. This episode wasn’t as eventful as the previous one but was still important in regards to storyline such as what is going to happen with Satoshi et cetera. The final showdown seems to be next episode so I look forward to when I can sit down and watch this.
