Summary: At the school, Chie-sensei introduces a new student, Hanyuu Furude, Rikas relative who has just moved to Himizawa. Hanyuu is embarassed and starts stammering during her introduction however this causes everyone to think she is mega cute and even causes Rena, who has gone into her cuteness overdrive and tries to take Hanyuu home with Chie calling after her. At the lunch period, the whole class is flocking over Hanyuu asking her questions, and in the boys case, causes them to fall in love with her.

Mion starts yelling at Hanyuu in her cheery voice that manages to scare her off, this causes Satoko to whack her in the chest. Using this moment as a diversion, Rena makes a second change to grab Hanyuu and run, with Mion this time wheezing after her. They decide to tie Rena up to a chair which is exactly what they do. With Hanyuu further away from her, Rena starts crying but later asks Keiichi what she thinks of Hanyuu. He says that she seems lonely and quiet. Rika also walks over to them and endorses her wish for Hanyuu to be friends with them all. Rena snaps the ropes binding her and makes a third attempt to take Hanyuu home.

That afternoon, Hanyuu joins the group in their club activities which this time is Old Maid (The first game Keiichi played in Onikakushi-hen). After many attempts, Keiichi ends up the loser. In the city (I presume Okinomiyo, or however it is spelt), Akasaka is sitting reading some documents when he comes across the name Himizawa. Back in Himizawa, Keiichi is in a cosplay dress doing a cosplay parade as the punishment game. Rika confuses Keiichi by mentioning that Hanyuu was always with them however this is interupted by Hanyuu falling off a cliff (Guess she is not used to having physical form). When she wakes up, the group is with her as well as Tomitake and Takano. Looking at Takano sparks a memory about what happened in the previous arc and starts to scare her. Later that night, Hanyuu explains to Rika what happened with Takano being behind the murders and that the rest of the group helped fight her but failed. Alas, Rika doesnt remember any of it, which aggravates Rika. Hanyuu also mentions that she is getting weaker and she might not be able to keep saving Rika, thus why she could have become visible to all.

In the police meeting, Akasaka remembers something Rika told him years back (In the Time Wasting Chapter) She said she was going to die. They do not believe him but he remembers about her begging him to help her. Ooishi decides to go and try helping her after all the Oyashirosama’s curse business that is happening in Himizawa. The following morning, the three young girls are walking to school when Irie comes up to them and starts talking to them (Mentioning something about a Maid Present… not sure if he is going to give them something or if he wants something… might find out later). Chie is behind him and puts a stop to the nonsense.

Irie and Rika have a chat and she tells him that she knows all about Takano’s plan of murdering the village and herself. She also mentions that she is planning on doing it that month which shocks Irie but he already had his suspicions. When she gets back to the class, she tells them they were sharing and reading manga which shocks them and they do not believe a word she says. Later on, they are standing near the blackboard and talking about the changes that can be made which would lead to a death (I think it could be Rika’s).

After the credits, the lady who is funding Takano receives a call from her and tells her it is all going well.

Review: Wow… it was alot to digest in this episode but it was all rather well done and after all these episodes, we finally have a club game (If I remember rightly… it was episode 3 that they last had a club game). Once again, Keiichi lost and was forced to cosplay around the village again. It was interesting how Rika forgot what happened since I thought she remembered what happened in her own private holding area and so she would have remembered that everyone else was there. But anyway, it was good to see everyone back and I hope the next episode will be promising!
