To overcome fate, only one person needs a miracle

Summary: There are the words Rika says while showing a man sitting at a table, a sign and the grassy plains of Himizawa. In the fields, a young man with camera is walking through the grass and spots two young girls running through the grass, Rika and Hanyuu. For some reason this man can see Hanyuu normally.

Some other time, Satoko is indoors with Rika watching the rest of the class doing some activities outside. Satoshi is sitting in the room also with Mion (Who is Shion I believe). He thanks her for all she has done. He says that thanks to her, she has helped her condition and made her time happier than it had been. As their guardians wouldn’t approve any time with them outside of school, Mion decided on making a club which is now the club they are in, in the normal times. He also mentions the gift he is going to buy Satoko.

We now go to Rena’s household where her mother calls her Reina (unless it is an accent or something) who is going away. Her mother asks her if she is sure she doesnt want to do with her and that she has to take her medication. When she leaves, Rena knocks the pills off the table and leaves the room. As she heads towards the bath, she senses someone behind her but doesnt see anyone. In the bath, Rena’s fingertips drip blood and when she inspects her arm where she has made cuts into it, it opens up and it fizzes up white. She has a vision of Hanyuu saying sorry over and over again. Rena recognises this has Oyashiro-sama.

The next morning, she goes to a neighbours house and introduces herself as Rena Ryuguu and is now determined to make things work in this town. At school, Satoshi hears something behind him but cannot see anything either. Rena soon comes up to him and they talk about Satoko for awhile. She also mentions she hears someone behind her that is not there.

At the doctors surgery, Satoshi is talking to Irie about quitting the baseball team, which Irie had to relucently accept. He is allowed to keep the faithful bat which has been used by Keiichi as a weapon so many times. Ooishi and the police are in a room talking about the murder of Satoko’s aunt and they believe that it was the curse, but once again, Ooishi does not believe in this.

Satoshi and Irie emerge from a store carrying one damn big teddy bear for Satoko. While in the car, they talk about the death of their aunt. With the worry of Satoko and his Aunt, he suddenly goes a bit mental. He doesnt believe his aunt is gone and still hallucinates her outside the car. He claims that he killed her and he starts clawing at his arms and throat. Irie pulls over at the doctors surgery and a group of men come out and carry him into the building. He has been infected by the Himizawa Syndrome. Takano finds his slightly humorous.

Back in the grassy plains, Rika and Hanyuu come up to the photographer that was watching them and introduce themselves and talk. After the talk, they name him as “Maebara”, a relative to Keiichi. He is stunned however that they know his name. At the Sonozaki residence, Maebara and Oryou are talking when they notice Mion. She says that the man and his family are moving to Himizawa. Mion is stunned at this as they do not usually have newcomers, thanks to him. Oryou claims that with the death of Satoshi and all that, it might be good to have someone new come into town.

After the credit sequence, Keiichi has arrived in Himizawa and is now having an orientation to his new school. Rika and Hanyuu is nearby watching and Rika believes that Keiichi is the key to stopping this yearly murder sequence. She also teases Hanyuu about not being able to do anything about it making her cry. The episode ends here.

Review: Finally, we get to see all the main characters again which is welcoming, especially since the last time we saw Keiichi and Rena were when they were murdered, five episodes ago! It seems like Satoshi wasn’t spirited away by the demon yet but more taken to a safe location. Hopefully he didn’t become the live specimen that Takano was after. It is weird how someone else was able to see Hanyuu, I am sure that person will also play a big role in the next few episodes.
