OP Theme: Joint by Mami Kawada [Youtube] – Wow is all I can say about this opening song, I thought nothing could beat the original opening but this has really outdone it! The animation was also some of the best I have seen all year. I will definitely buy the soundtrack for this song!
ED Theme: Triangle by Mami Kawada [Youtube] – While not as good as the Opening (Which is a trend in most animes), this is still a very good song althrough I dont think it is as… interesting as the ED song in the first series. However the animation is really nice with a mix between Black&White and Colour!
Summary: As this is a recap episode and I have another couple of episodes to post I shall be brief. This episode starts with Yuuji walking to school and then throughout the day realizing that he seems to be having alot of deja vu and he soon realizes that it is some sort of dream world someone has trapped him in. This includes old scenes done with new animation and completely redone. In the end, he finds out that the Tomogara trapped him in this state and Shana makes short work of it. Yuuji remembers Shana saying something to him awhile ago and asked her what she said and she gives her famous URUSAI! Which concludes this episode. Next episode we get to see Shakugan no Shana II at it’s best hopefully!
Review: The new series of Shakugan no Shana does not disappoint. Even if this was a recap episode, they still offer a good storyline to go with it unlike some of the other lesser attempts other animes have made. The graphics are definately much better then before which is something as they were very good in the last season also. The music was as good as last series. While we get introduced to a new character, we don’t really learn much about her yet so I am looking forward to next episode. Will I be blogging this? At the moment it is likely that I will but I want to see how it goes next episode.
