Summary: Both Asuna and Negi are running late for school so Negi decides to take out his staff and fly them to the building in time. They manage to make it on time. During class, Ayaka is erasing the board and remembering it as the day when her baby brother was supposed to be born when Asuna decides to pick a fight with her and they both do attacks that look like Matrix moves until they both fall over infront of Negi. He proposes that the whole class should do a class dodge ball tournament with everyone involved.

They are all divided into two teams and the game begins. The problem is, the only two people who are touching the ball are Asuna and Ayaka. This creates boredom with the other students and some start walking off or lying down, all the while Negi is trying to get people involved. The only person who is not there is Ako who is working with Shizuna who I am not sure is a nurse or a milk woman. Takahata is also with them drinking milk also.

There are less and less people on the court now that the library girls have retreated away and many other people are up above the court having food from Satsuki/Chaos food cart. Kaede and the Narutaki twins decide to go (walking??) and they get up to leave. On their way down the stairs, the twins run into Negi who blocks their exit. They dive under him leaving a clear way for Kaede to walk past.

Makie is making a grab for the ball with her ribbon however ends up grabbing Negi and gets themselves wrapped in the ribbon unable to move. Natsumi and Chizuru grab them both and pull them off the field while they are both struggling. Hakase and Mana are also having their fights has Hakase has grabbed the ball with some machine and Mana is planning on shooting it when it comes out much to the disapproval of Negi. As it is impossible to grab a ball with the class, Zazie grabs the ball and does one of her disappearing magic tricks, while Asuna and Ayaka pressure Negi for the ball.

When Negi finally grabs a ball, the two girls rush forward and try to grab the ball first however Asuna manages to kick it out of reach right into the path of Konoka. Setsuna manages to grab it and push it away, more than likely diminishing any hope I have of a Kyoto arc this series. The two girls are now emptying out ball bags trying to hit each other with a ball to no success. When they are both out of balls, they plan for an all-out brawl which Negi attempts to put a stop to by casting one of his spells.

His spell not only manages to remove the bloomers of Asuna and Ayaka, but every girl in the building. After school, Asuna asks Negi to do what she wanted him to do and he goes over to her and she explains to him what happened to her brother. The episode ends here.

Summary: While this episode was not as good as last episode, it definately made the best dodgeball episode yet out of both times it has appeared on TV. I think this was a much better idea than the manga where they fought the senior schoolers as they were able to build off this by having all the students walk away due to boredom. What else can I say… the music was really good and I liked the animation especially with all the balls being thrown which while impossible in real life, was very effective.

As they have started Evangeline appearing a bit more in this episode, I presume that the Vampire Arc will be happening soon which will be interesting to see as I can imagine it would be one of the more harder episodes to make with the special effects that will be required. It is a shame through that there will most probably not be a Kyoto arc now that Konoka and Setsuna are close. The thing I am most wanting to see through is how that plan to add the pactio system in and if Negi has to draw it up or Chamo has something to do with it. Only time will tell.
