Summary: For those who over the last two episodes have hated seeing little girls cry in the introduction, then please do not fear, there is no little girl crying but instead an actual teenager who is Chisame. She has somehow woken up on a tiled floor in the bathroom and starts crying. The first part of this episode is the same as the manga where Chisame (who also narrates and stars in most of this episode) is once again complaining about how out of place some of the students are such as The Narutaki Twins (Children), Chachamaru (Robot), Zazie (Some weird person) et cetra. When she can bear no more of the classes antics, she leaves on the presence of feeling unwell.
When she gets back to her dorm room, she changes into her Chu costume and we get to see her commenting on her website about Negi being a pervert (Which actually includes voices narrating the posts) and then her taking more pictures and modifying them with some photo editing software. She is unaware however that Negi is in her room with some bunny ears on his head. When she finally realizes what happens, she traps him in a box and mails him to Okinawa which she calls out to the boat that is carrying him to his destination.
The next day, Chisame walks into the school building only to find Negi there with a box of souvenirs from Okinawa. In Shizuna’s office, Negi brews a potion that would enable him to do something which is a bit unclear to me but I guess it allows him to see what her thoughts are which exactly what he does. He walks up to her with his magically powered hand and puts it on her chest. This causes them to change settings with him on one side of a confession stand and her on the other in another uniform and delves her thoughts to him which includes her fear of people finding out about her being Chiu etc.
When Chisame goes back to class, everyone is leaving to go hold their new event titled “Idle Queen Contest”. Negi drags Chisame to another building where they watch the girls dress up Nodoka in a maid costume with a twist (See the photos). Negi encourages her to take part and in the end, she gives in and runs down to the stage. Negi casts a spell on her which has her change clothes as she runs down towards the stage as well as boosting her confidence. She takes out first place with the cheers of the class and the knowledge that her secret is out. This episode ends with Chisame saying a few words to Negi and Negi discussing the day in his diary. The episode ends here.
Review: We once again had the crying beginning which seems to be a trend for at least the next few episodes. I am looking forward to seeing the Evangeline arc soon as while this is good the way they are doing it… we need a bit more action. Chisame was one of the students I picked to be one of the first students to have her own episode and I was right. Seems like they spent quite alot of time on Chisame’s room with all the costumes littering the room, but I really want to know two things about her:
- How she managed to carry Negi all the way to the post box and then actually get him on a ship to Okinawa
- How she actually managed to get Negi in the box
I also can’t believe how deep Yue’s voice is, I was expecting something a bit softer but I guess I can get used to it. All we need is a bit more of Haruna (My favourite character). Thats all I have to say about this episode, look forward to bringing the next one to you all next week!
