Summary: It is exam time for all the students and they are all busy studying. Ink is in her room studying when her mother brings in a cup of tea for her and they discuss her exam. At school, they are all sitting practice exams for their university entry exams. Sumi has had the biggest change adding huge coke-bottle glasses to her face. After school, Ink talks to Nao about his options and he says he is trying to go to the same university as her.
The policeman is shown for the first time in episodes and is now thinking he has failed at catching Dandy after all the years he has been after him. However he vows that he will look for him. At Nao’s home, his sister Mio is watching Alice’s new performance so it seems as Alice has settled in for the old routine, except not trying to kill Ark every episode. Mio has become accustomed to Ink’s daily trips to their home and welcomes her inside (Unlike before thinking she was weird). At Sumi’s home, she is still studying hard for the exams which were looming upon her. Ka-kun manages to convince her to go to Nao’s home also and study for their exams.
When all three of them are settled in for their lesson, Ink says the phrase:
- It must be a plot by the makers to change the special features but keep the same contents.
Sumi finds this hard to understand and gets angrier and angrier until she starts to yell at Ink. Nao just sits there smiling to himself while Ark and Ka are reading another one of their adults magazines and then fighting over who should get to read it.
Alice is also happy with her new life in the human world saying that the human world is nice. She is also with Na who is able to transform easily into her animal form or human form quite easily compared to Ka or Ark.
Ka takes up following Ark around village to find out what he gets up to during the day. It turns out that he is respected in the town and everyone adores him. He keeps following him until Ark enters the local kindergarten where he is adored by all the students there (If you don’t remember, he is into loli’s). However the old man also works there and manages to remove him from the kindergarten much to the disappointment of both the students and the other lady working there.
The policeman is sitting on a bench starting to get upset about not being able to find Dandy. Dandy however sits next to him and says hello to him. At first the policeman gets all emotional and then starts chasing him again.
The policeman chases Dandy around a corner and disappears. The police officer runs into Mio and asks her if she had seen Dandy in which she declines. Behind her however, Dandy is in his critter form. He says to her:
- I really wonder how you say “Panchira” in English.
While i don’t know what Panchira actually means… it earns a foot stamp by Mio. Another magical girl appears infront of them and Mio transforms into her magical girl form which is followed by Dandy doing a mouth drool, Mio gaining a sunflower staff and then her whacking Dandy into some glass.
The other girl summons a talking pencil and eraser (I believe they are mascots of Moetan also). Dandy manages to kill them with one of his magical beams and then the girl runs away. Somehow that girl reminds me of another character somewhere but it might just be my imagination.
So the last few moments of this series involve Sumi studying for her exams and then the credits show Ink and Nao at university.
For the last Moetan Corner, the phrase that is used is:
- Dialogue Dubbing for Moetan always starts at 10am. That is why I am so sleepy!
Review for this Episode: This episode was an okay episode for an ending. While it would have been nice to see more magical girl action in it, it was interesting to see that Dandy and Mio were actually partners and it would explain why Dandy was always around her home. Can’t really say anything else but it turned out quite a good conclusion episode. I am not 100% how this summary went as I have been busy and feeling quite ill but it should give you a good idea of what happened.
Review for Moetan Series: What can I say about Moetan as a whole… I would call it the first real moe series that I have watched all the way through and while most animes like this would turn me off first or second episode, something managed to keep me watching this series until the end.
Storyline wise… it was a bit different in structure from what I usually see in animes that try to focus on cuteness. I guess the storyline was kind of a mix between a normal mahou shoujo anime and Pani Poni Dash will the randomness of the episodes being a key player in my interest of the anime. The only downfall of the storyline was that some episodes seemed to focus too much on cuteness which wrecked it as I watched this series for a different storyline and having a whole episode of bath scenes wasn’t my idea of a good show.
Graphics were absolutely brilliant in this anime. As Moetan is from a very successful art company, it does live up to its expectations with bright colours and well drawn characters.
Sounds were also done very well. To begin with, the OP and ED themes were very well done and cheery. Also the background music was well done althrough I found that their number of songs were rather limited and it would have been nice to have a better variety of them.
