OP Theme: Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 2007 by Saeko Chiba: This opening theme was very… fightening, scary and had a fairly good song. In most animes, this OP with the animation would be found very odd however for some reason, the song somehow works well with the violence.
Summary: Since this is split up into two parts, I will summarise each section:
1st Half: Everyone from Sakura and Dokuro’s class are going to the seaside to do some sort of drawing for art class. Sakura tries to get to the water as his school crush Shizuki is there. When they get to the end of the cliff right above a waterfall, Sakura tries to prank Dokuro by faking to push her in. Problem is, when doing it, it is an illusion and he falls off instead.
After he makes it back to dry land, him and the rest of his friends attempt to paint the scenery, only to be horrified by Dokuro’s bloodshed river which is nothing like the calm quiet river infront of them. After some weird TV Advert, a Doremon reference and some horrifying food, Sakura manages to lose his lunchbox and it is picked up by another angel with horns, Satabo, who lives in some sort of small tin house. Must say… poor girl. The episode ends with some sort of mental daydream and Sakura once again being attacked by Dokuro.
2nd Half: This half was pointless with more beating with the mace, freezer stories and Sakura, Dokuro, Satabo and Dokuro’s little sister (Who is much older looking) Zakuro.
Review: Let me say now, I will NOT be reviewing this anime further. While some small bits ended up interesting, the large portion of it wasnt in regards to my interests. I can’t say much more about it however it just isnt my style of anime.
