Summary: Ayaka wakes up in her Negi themed room after having a dream about her and Asuna’s past. She says hello to the bird outside her window when she remembers she is in the magic world. We crossover to the classroom where the exploration club is discussing their tactics without Asuna being there. Asuna is in the kitchens scavanging food, after foolishly eating raw potato, Satsuki comes out and gives her something resembling an onigiri (お握り) she notices that Satsuki and all the other kitchen helpers are wearing Negi t-shirts instead of the “official” Chupacabra shirts. However, while this is happening, Motsu consumes the onigiri.

The research group is sitting outside studying some magic books when Negi comes to join them, they all start to have a tea party when Asuna finds them and tries to take him back to his real group. They start to fight however Negi ends up falling down and hitting his head while trying to stop the fight. At the school hospital ward, Ako gives Negi and GIANT bandage and then she pulls out a giant needle. She loses balance however and hits Chamo turning him into some sort of flying superhero ermine.

In the research department Chisame is being teased by Chizuru for her net idol career. Eva and Chachamaru along with Takamichi are looking for infomation around the worldtree, Chachamaru only manages to save a bird. Asuna and Ayaka decide to have a contest so the first challenge is holding their breath underwater. Negi, Konoka and Haruna are the judges while Zazie gives her first smile of the show. It ends up in a tie. The second challenge is pulling pegs on the other persons lips until one comes off. That also ends up in a tie. For the third challenge, both girls have to put their head in a container containing a lizard however onces again, they both come out with a tie.

The lizard is then covered in darkness, so Negi summons Asuna’s cosplay card however Asuna is consumed in the process dropping her harisen. Ayaka can’t stand it anymore so asks Negi to summon her card. Ayaka gets the Armor card leaving her with a whip and some very erm… interesting clothing. Using it, she is able to free Asuna while Negi destroys it. We get a flashback to their past and that is basically it for the episode, except Chamo is now normal hanging from a wall.

Review: Finally, a good episode! This episode really made up for the poor quality of last week, the graphics have improved from last week and the storyline covered the normal AyakaxAsuna = Love/Hate relationship!
